Update 26th April 2020

SEAWAY GEAR HIRE+DELIVERY AVAILABLE AGAIN FROM 2/5/2020.
In light of the relaxation to the current COVID19 restrictions as off 2nd May 2020, we will recommence our dive gear hire and delivery service to the Gold Coast Seaway. As of midnight on Friday, people are allowed again to leave their house for recreation within a 50km radius of their home and within their household group or to meet with one other person. Social distancing measures are still in place and need to be adhered to whilst at the Seaway or elsewhere so please only meet up for a dive with only one other person rather than with a group of people. As such, boat dive charters are unfortunately still off limits. Follow the link for more details and online gear bookings: https://goldcoastdiveadventures.com.au/gold-coast-seaway-d…/

Update 30th March 2020

In light of the latest restrictions, we have now ceased our gear hire service. We encourage all divers to stay at home and only leave the house for essential reasons. Stay local. Stay safe.

Update: 23rd March 2020

Due to the introduction of government restrictions around social distancing and avoidance of non-essential travel, we have made the decision to cease certified diving charters on the Gold Coast as of today for the next few weeks. This includes our upcoming North Stradbroke Island trip on Sunday, 29th March 2020 and all introductory diving, snorkeling tours and courses. We are not sure when we will recommence normal operations and will monitor the situation. Any updates will be provided via this URL and on our social media channels. If you have dive booking or course booking with us, please wait until we make contact with you. We are aiming to email all customers over the next 3 days for bookings coming up over the next 2 weeks.

Whilst no diving tours are conducted, we are launching online gear hire bookings and delivery for your shore diving needs. Simply book online and we will have your equipment delivered to the Gold Coast Seaway however, we encourage you to only dive in small groups of 2 and with people you are in contact with regardless of diving e.g. family members, late mates etc. More details on our delivery service to follow shortly via social media and our website.

Update: 16th March 2020

At Gold Coast Dive Adventures, the health and safety of our divers and our staff is always our number one priority. Our diving operation currently runs as per normal however, the latest threat by the Corona Virus prompted us to review our operation in an attempt to identify any opportunity to improve on control measures that aim to minimise the risk of transmission as far as reasonably possible.

We have compiled a list of control measures that are either already in place or will be implemented as of today. These measures are precautionary and shall slow the spread of the virus to protect the most vulnerable people around us. We thank you in advance for your corporation and understanding.

Beware of symptoms
As per the most common safe diving practice, never dive when feeling unwell in any form. Should you be sick for whatever reason, please don’t dive for your own safety and the health and safety of those around you.

Disinfection of rental gear
Regardless of Corona virus, our rental gear in particular masks, snorkels and regulators are always washed with hospital grade disinfect. Going forward, we will increase the ratio of disinfect to water as a precaution. All our masks have several colors and regulators have ID tags to ensure there are no mix-ups of equipment on the boat.

No cash payments
There will be no exchange of physical money at our dive centre. All dives must be booked and paid for online via our website. All in-store purchases must must be completed via PayPass regardless of the transaction value. There is no minimum spent on Eftpos.

No hand shakes
All staff and customers are encouraged to stop shaking hands and give each other an OK signal instead.

No paper waivers
You are required to complete our online waiver. Anyone that has not completed our online waiver prior to the dive trip and upon arrival at the dive shop is required to completed the waiver on their own mobile device via www.gcdawaiver.com

Hand sanitiser
For as long as we are able to purchase new stock, we will have hand santisers around the dive shop and on the vessel for your use.

Small groups
Our certified dive tours are in small groups with 8 divers + crew and our vessel is open to 3 sides and spacious, allowing lots of room and ventilation for everyone.

Outdoor dive briefs
All our dive briefs are conducted outdoors. There is no need to be in a closed room with several people in a static way.

No bus transfers
There is no need to transport divers to and from our boat. The meeting point and departure point are the same. Hotel transfers are still available to book as long as the overall group size remains small.

Self Isolation for overseas visitors
As per the latest government regulation, anyone that visits the Gold Coast from overseas is required to self isolate for 14 days. This applies to arrivals after 15/03/2020. If you are from overseas, please bring your passport on the day of your dive to proof the date of your arrival in Australia or ideally email us a copy beforehand.

Once again, thank you for your cooperation in advance. Any changes to the above will be communicated via this URL. We will continue to monitor the latest advice from authorities and implement any new measures as required.

Stay safe!
