Are you a Coxswain and Divemaster?
We are currently on the hunt for an unrestricted Coxswain to operate our dive and sightseeing vessel. In this role you will ensure that all divers are having a safe and enjoyable trip by operating in strict compliance with the vessel’s Safety Management System and our Work Health and Safety Manual. You are also required to perform the duties of a Dive Supervisor and Surface Watch and must be suitably trained and experienced to do so (refer below). Our trips run on the Gold Coast ex Runaway Bay Marina. Apart from scuba diving, we also conduct whale watching trips and South Stradbroke Island tours with non-diving customers.
What do you need to bring?
– Be a friendly and healthy person with a professional attitude,
– Be great with customers
– Be a qualified Coxswain (unrestricted) or higher,
– Be at least a PADI Divemaster or similar qualification,
– Possess a Drivers License,
– Possess current Oxygen Provider Certificate,
– Possess current First Aid and CPR Certificate,
– Have knowledge of local waters and conditions
– Be available preferably on Wednesday and Saturday

In return you will become part of the extended Gold Coast Dive Adventures family and get paid a competitive flat rate per boat trip above the local average. We have an excellent operational system in place that is easy to follow.
This job is a causal part-time role on contract basis for only a few days per week to start with in order to relief our current skippers. More work days are available throughout whale season. There will be full support including internal training and mentoring throughout the process.
Our staff also enjoys free tank hire and airfills on their days off and are also welcome to join our boat dives as dive guides for some fun-diving. You are also able to purchase dive gear for your own use at whole sale rates.
Our vessel
Our boat is a 6m Airib and beautifully set up for diving. We limit maximum numbers in order to ensure the best possible customer experience. It is also fast and easy to handle and we always go the extra mile when it comes to legal compliance, maintenance and best practice.
