Annual Regulator Servicing

When it comes to maintaining your dive gear, prevention is key. Dive gear should never be maintained in a reactive manner. Most manufactures recommend annual servicing of your regulator set. A general service usually includes a throughout inspection of your gear, cleaning, replacement of parts as per manufactures recommendation and a performance test.

 

How much does the annual regulator service cost?

How much do regulator parts cost?

When deciding on a regulator brand, it is essential to enquire about the cost of annual service kits as there are huge variances in between brands of up to $100. Paying $100 more per year for servicing should be considered when comparing initial purchase prices of new regulators.

Here are some approximate price ranges of service kits from different brands to help you consider the cost of your annual regulator service prior to buying a new set of regs.

  • Apollo/Ocean Design Predator – $45
  • Auqalung – $100 to $120
  • Cressi – $100 to $120
  • Mares – $100 to $120
  • Scubapro – $140

The service kit includes the parts for your first stage, second stage and octopus that the manufacture recommends to replace. In addition, you may need to pay for replacement hoses as required.

At Gold Coast Dive Adventures, we can service most regulator brands such as Apollo, Ocean Design, Tusa, Scubapro, Halcyon, Cressi, Mares, Aqualung, Apeks, Oceanic, Atomic, Hollis, Zeagle and Atomic.

 

How long does the service take?

We require your regs for 5 to 10 business days. This accounts for potential delays in obtaining your service kits and express shipping back to your home address.

 

What regulator brands do you sell at GCDA?

As for any other dive gear, we keep things simple and only sell what we use for hire. We are therefore able to guarantee that you only buy the highest quality gear that will last you a very long time.

The regulator brands we sell are Apollo, Ocean Design and Tusa.

 

Tank Hydro Testing

We are also able to hydro test your scuba tanks. Allow 5 business days turnaround time.

How to book a service?

The best thing to do is to email us the details of your regulator i.e. components and brand. We will then provide you a budget quote for all parts that might be needed. Once agreed and accepted, we will either collect your regulator or you can drop it off at Runaway Bay Marina or Chevron Island. Once the service is complete, we will post your regulator set to your home address via express courier. Allow 5-10 business days turnaround time.
