Servicing
Here at Gold Coast Dive Adventures, we are an all encompassing scuba centre. Offering everything from training & fun dives to equipment retail and servicing. Priding ourselves on offering the highest quality service in all of our departments.
Your dive equipment is your life line underwater, we believe that is extremely important to keep your equipment serviced and in top notch shape to provide you with the best underwater performance. On top of getting the most from your equipment, regular servicing will make your equipment last much longer.
This is why we have a full servicing workshop and highly trained service technicians to offer servicing for almost all brands of dive equipment.
If you buy your equipment through us, we also offer heavily discounted annual servicing.
How often should I service my dive equipment?
When it comes to maintaining your dive equipment, prevention is key. Dive equipment should never be maintained in a reactive manner. If you stick to the recommended servicing guidelines you should very rarely encounter problems with your equipment. Most manufactures recommend annual servicing of your regulator set and we agree with that sentiment.
The only reason to service it more often than that is if a problem arrises or you are diving a lot. If you have done 100 dives before a 12 months is up, it would be recommended to service them early.
It is also important to know that in Australia, it is required to get your tanks hydrostatically tested every 12 months. If they have not been tested within this time frame it is illegal for any dive shop to even fill them up.
This is done so often to ensure the structural integrity of the tank and ensure there is no contaminants inside of it.
What is involved in equipment servicing?
A general service includes a thorough inspection of your equipment, disassembly, thorough clean, replacement of all parts & o-rings recommended by the manufacturer and a performance test.
We have highly trained service technicians in our team and a fully set up servicing centre. We will only use genuine parts and service kits to service your equipment.
How much does an annual service cost?
- A regulator service will cost between $250 – $300 depending on the brand
- BCD servicing – $150
- Extra parts may be required if something is broken. We will always get in contact before adding any extra charges to your equipment service.
How much does an annual tank hydrostatic test cost?
- Hydrostatic test – $85

- Optional tank fill – $10
How long does equipment servicing take?
We try to service your equipment as fast as we can to ensure you don’t have to spend long out of the water!
We offer a 5 – 10 day turn around time for all dive equipment. The only reason this may take longer is if we need to order in any special parts we do not have in stock. If this is the case, we will always keep you informed!
If you are in need of a service faster than that, just let us know and we can offer you a fast tracked service for a small extra fee.
