Gold Coast Surf Lessons
The name ‘Surfers Paradise’ says it all. The Gold Coast is a hot spot for surfers and probably the number one locals activity. The best surf conditions usually provide the points at Currumbin, Burleigh Heads, Miami and the Spit. An absolute locals secret is South Stradbroke Island. Dozens of Surfers paddle across the Seaway to catch a wave at Straddie. Surf Boards can be hired at many places and Surf lessons are available along the coastline as well. If you are at Surfers Paradise or the Spit, try ‘Go Ride a Wave’ or ‘Get Wet Surf Adventures’. Their lessons are short and sharp and of course a lot of fun.

Gold Coast Kayaking Tours
Another experience for the active water person is a Broadwater tour by kayak including the opportunity to go for a swim at Wave Break Island. The tour departs from Biggera Waters however, accommodation transfers can be arranged. The 2 hour tour includes all equipment as well as water and snacks.

Gold Coast Jet Boat Ride
All the thrill seekers should not miss out on a high-speed jet boat ride through the Gold Coast Broadwater. Based at Marina Mirage, Paradise Jet Boating prides itself to offer Australia’s best Jet Boat Ride. They operate 7 days per week with multiple vessels. Gold Coast Jet Ski Safari
Following on from Jet Boat rides, your next adventure should be a Jet Ski Safari through the Broadwater. These fully guided tours do not require you to have any license nor prior experience. Departing from Mariners Cove, several tour durations (30 min to 2.5h) are available depending on your budget and preferences.
Gold Coast Whale Watching Adventure
From June to October, the Gold Coast whale watching season is in full swing. There are several providers for this popular activity to suit different preferences. Whilst small children and elderly people should board one of the larger vessels, our recommendation for the active person is to sign up for Sea the Gold Coast’s whale watching adventure on a smaller boat with only 8 participants. That is truly personalised experience with a private atmosphere. Due to the small vessel size, whales often come up close to check out the boat, providing incredible interactions that you will never forget. The small boat often sells out in advance so make sure you book ahead of time if you can.

Flyboard & Parasailing Package
Gold Coast Water Sports is based at the Sea World Resort and offers an incredible package deal for flyboard and parasailing packages. This experience is for the more advanced adventure seekers so make sure you read the fine print before signing up.
Gold Coast Broadwater Adventure Boat Tour
Board a smaller fast adventure boat ex Runaway Bay and embark on a nature discovery safari through the Gold Coast Broadwater and Morton Bay Marine Park. The tour gives you the chance to spot marine life such as dolphins, rays, turtles but also rare shore birds. Part of this 2.5h adventure is a visit at South Stradbroke Island Conservation Park, to continue your wildlife adventure on foot, walking across the island to the eastern beach. South Straddie, as the locals call it, is home to many rare kinds of birds, wallabies, kangaroos and koalas. The tour can be booked online and offers generous group discounts.

Scuba Dive the Gold Coast reefs and wrecks
As you probably have guessed already, a must do activity for certified divers is a dive with us. Our Gold Coast dive adventures take you offshore (outside the Broadwater) to the best local dive sites including Palm Beach Reef and the Scottish Prince Shipwreck. Whether you need to entertain the whole family or just yourself, visiting water based theme parks is a great way to spend the day. Sea World will provide you educational insides in Australian marine life. Wet’n’Wild is water sports fun young and old. Stand up Paddle Boarding (SUP)
Much easier to master than surfing. Hire a SUP at Tallebudgera Creek and enjoy the scenery around Burleigh Headlands. A quick introductory lesson is always includes with the hire as a well as a smile. Stand up paddle boarding is suitable for almost everyone however, being a reasonable swimmer is recommended. Tallebudgera Creek has recently been voted the number 1 swimming and bathing spot in Australia. Tip: Visit around high tide for the cleanest water of within 2h before and after.
